The HM20 SIM Center is an innovative space that will host a variety of hospital medicine skills training activities to enrich your meeting experience. New for HM20, join us for the first-ever immersive game workshop. During this session, participants will be set in a zombie post-apocalypse world. Participants will be challenged to leverage their POCUS examination skills to interpret findings, gather clues and ultimately, find the cure.

Learning Objectives:

  • Perform point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) examination to identify and interpret lung pathology
  • Recognize and perform ultrasound-guided abscess drainage and venous catheterization
  • Integrate POCUS findings into clinical context in order to manage a mysterious infectious disease
